Where is my data stored?

All your data is stored locally on your device. There are no servers, no cloud sync, and no accounts. Your financial data never leaves your phone.

Can I transfer my data to a new phone?

Yes. When you restore from an iCloud or local backup during device setup, your Ringfence data transfers automatically since it's part of your device's app data.

How do the three rings work?

Each ring tracks a different budget period: daily, weekly, and monthly. Unlike fitness rings, you want these to stay open. The less they fill up, the less you've spent.

Can I choose which categories count toward each ring?

Yes. Each spending category can be assigned to one or more budget periods. For example, you might only track food in your daily ring, while rent only counts toward monthly.

Will there be a subscription later?

No. Ringfence is a one-time purchase. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no premium tiers. You pay once and own it.

I found a bug. What should I include in my report?

Please email contact@ringfence.money with your iOS version, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened. Screenshots are always helpful.
